When the Ball Moves...The 100 Milestone!

When the Ball Moves...The 100 Milestone!
The Burnley Fanzine, When the Ball Moves…is approaching its 100th Issue.

Many of us have seen Barnsey`s ugly mug outside the club shop on a match day. He has been standing on that corner since March 2000 when a 3-0 home defeat to those from Deepdale appeared to have dented our promotion hopes (It all worked out in the end!)

Boxing Day 2012 will see the release of the 100th Issue!

The number of clubs with fanzines is dwindling year on year. The increase in the number of internet forums has probably led to this downturn.

Supporters can now get their information from a variety of different sources without leaving their house - they can even get it on the move via the use of a Smartphone.

However, something is still to be said for having a paper-based fanzine to hold and read. Reaching issue 100 is an impressive feat and something that should be praised.

When The Ball Moves… has something for every reader. Historical articles, fun, stats based stuff, match reports, pub guides & quizzes to test your Clarets knowledge. If you don`t already buy the fanzine, why not try it? You might like it! If you do subsequently buy the fanzine, thanks for your support and we hope you will continue to purchase and enjoy!

If the fanzine is to continue and reach the next milestone - we need people to keep buying!

Next time you visit the Turf, why not grab a copy? If you are an exile - you can subscribe for a postal copy worldwide at very reasonable rates by sending an email to

Who knows, in the future, WTBM… may even be available on Ibooks such as Kindle?!

I wonder how long it will be until Barnsey Jnr will be 'earning' his ST with fanzine sales ;-)

Indeed: at the moment, he's free...anyway, which of the three Barnsey juniors do you mean?

I am sure they will all be able to make a contribution of some sort :-)
