Will it all UnCoyle for the Judas Snake?

Will it all UnCoyle for the Judas Snake?
All Clarets fans will no doubt be hoping that Owen Coyle and his Bolton team fail miserably away to Stoke City this Sunday on the last day of the Premier League season.

Is Judas about to be punished? Are Bolton about to return to the Championship, relegated with mounting debts and an uncertain future?

Bolton's task is simple (not!)! They have to win to stay up. Anything else and the result between Manchester City and QPR at the Etihad becomes irrelevant. QPR are currently above Bolton in 4th from bottom spot with two points more.

Can QPR draw away to probable League Champions, Manchester City today? That's all they realistically need to guarantee survival since they already have a nine goal advantage over Bolton in terms of goal difference.

It is almost a sideline now for Burnley fans with the crucial Bolton game about to kick-off at 3pm but who is going to be top and crowned Premier League Champions after todays games?

Well I can confidently predict (cough!) it will be one of the Manchester clubs!

The City side of the City though look to have the advantage over their United counterparts!

Both clubs are on 86 points but Roberto Mancini's men have an 8 goal advantage in terms of goal difference over Sir Alex's mob. City might only need a point to be crowned Premier League Champions and indeed in the unlikely event both clubs lose, City will still lift the trophy unless their is some weird rugby scores involved. What a game though it will be for City today at home against relegation threatened QPR!

The task for United is simple, they have to beat Sunderland at the Stadium of Light and hope that City slip up although they could still be crowned Champions if they draw and somehow City lose.

What a day this is going to be! Post your thoughts before during and after the afternoon's action below this thread

I wonder if Bolton do go down (Pretty please), whether Coyle will survive. Some think he will, simply because Bolton can't afford to sack him due to their financial plight. On happy days!

If - hopefully - Bolton come and join us, will is be an unprecedented 8 teams in the same division all starting with the letter 'B'?

Coyle's out of contract at the end of the season. Good old turfmanphil. Still as bitter...and still as thick.

Even better if West Ham beat Blackpool in Play-offs final,Mike! But what a money spinner it could be for local games next season. Owls already up, Blades or Huddersfield looking likely to follow joining Leeds & Barnsley from the Yorkshire side, Blackburn already down with hopefully Bolton to follow from the Lancs side! Get in

Aw bless, don't you just love it when Bolton fans realise all we ever said about Coyle is about to come true! Only thing he didn't do was jump ship but then who would have him now other than St Johnstone? Not about being bitter its about being right and that has almost been proved conclusively! So what happens if Bolton stay up, will Coyle be offered a new contract for being a failure and doing worse than Megson(How bitter were Bolton fans over him?? Same difference really

Hmm, sorry about the duplication there! Coyle succeeded by his gung-ho attacking style with little defensive cover. He coped for a few months with it in the Prem with us and then jumped ship. Bolton benefitted from his undoubted charisma and ability to motivate in the short term. Mr 'No Plan B' has failed this season (bitterly blaming his injury problems - probably, in reality no worse than any other team) and deserves to go - even if they stay up. That said and if they do keep him in the Championship, I feel sure he will have just as warm a welcome at the Turf as ********s.

It must be surely! If I got the maths right, there are 15 'B' clubs in the Football League so we will actually have the majority of them (8) in the Championship with zero in Prem and seven in League 1/2

Not sure St Johnstone would have him tmp! In Dave T's book Entertainment, Heroes and Villains someone says that the magic had begun to wear off there. Anyway, another sideshow today is the race for third: Ars, Spurs or Newcastle. I'm hoping for the PL title to go to the Blue Camp, Ars 3rd, Spurs 4th, Newcastle 5th (Oh, and Bolton to go down, doh!). And Everton to finish above Liverpool and - as I'd rather watch Spurs in the Champions League next season than Chelsea, I am forced to want Bayern to win this year.
