Getting shirty

Getting shirty
Those of you who buy 'When The Ball Moves...' fanzine on a regular basis will no doubt have seen the 'Twenty years of shirt' articles.

This is where we look to collect fans' thoughts on the various HOME shirts that we have worn since 1990. Ultimately, we hope to collate these into a table, giving us our most popular shirt.

The winner will be interesting, as we are asking people to take a few things into account. If you are reading this, please take the time to complete the bullet points outlined below.

Thanks in advance! WTBM...is on sale outside the Turf every match day, as well as at most away games.

This issue, it's the Mitre shirt of 1995-97.

Marks out of 10: 7 Positives (of the design): Colourful and cheerful plus a bit of subtle yellow always helps. Like that yellow collar band effect Negatives (ditto): Bit busy, not convinced about the sleeves may have been better all blue. Not really Claret to my way of thinking Memories of BFC in this shirt: Sadly this was during my wilderness years so no real memories :-(

1995-96... Clarets Chronicles... "Turf Moor was a gloomy place". Might this give a clue as to why no-one seems to be responding much? Can't say I have ever looked at the shirt that much. I'm not that keen looking at it now. 5/10.

Not sure if it's the lighting but that is never Claret is it? Is there a strict definition of the colour 'Claret'? I have noticed having bought a new scarf and bobble hat, we now seem to have gone to a much darker shade compared to a few years ago

Is the colour Claret defined by the one on the 59-60 shirt? It would be interesting to see colour pix of variations since then, lined up directly next to it. Looking forward to seeing your new purchases at some point TMP! I nearly wore an old bobble hat to QPR, but held back!
