First signed on loan from Wolves in November 2011 but returned to Molineux when his loan spell completed on Sunday January 15th 2012. Made nine appearances scoring twice.


It was no secret Eddie Howe wanted to extend his loan that season but Wolves manager at the time, Mick McCarthy decide his player was not getting enough games at Turf Moor and the Welsh international finished up going out on loan to Championship rivals, Brighton & Hove Albion.


New Wolves manager, Stale Solbakken made it clear though that Vokes was surplus to requirements in the summer of 2012 and he was released from contract with a year still to run.


He joined Burnley on a permanent deal on the 31st July 2012 after accepting a three year contract. He was signed for an undisclosed fee reported to be in the region of 500-800k.
