Treacy signed from Preston in August 2011. The Republic of Ireland international agreed a three-year-deal

The transfer fee was undisclosed but it was thought a fee of between 750,000 and 800,000 could have been involved although some of that would have gome to Blackburn Rovers due to a sell-on clause.

He made his debut for the Clarets in the opening game of the 2011-12 season at home to Watford after coming on from the bench in the second half and scoring our second goal to earn the Clarets a point in a 2-2 draw.He was released at the end of his contract in Summer 2014. The Republic of Ireland international winger made 75 appearances for the Clarets, scoring five times. During his time on Burnley's books he was also sent out on loan to Sheffield Wednesday in 2012.It would appear he does still have a chance of staying at Turf Moor if he can convince the gaffer of his worth during a pre-season trial ahead of the 2014-15 season.
