Burnley signed 22 year old defender, David Edgar from Newcastle United on 1st July 2009.The Canadian Under 20 International agreed a four-year deal at Turf Moor.
Because the player is under 24 though Burnley are currently in the process of trying to agree a compensation fee with Newcastle after his contract expired yesterday.
Edgar's agent Barry MacLean told Ontario newspaper The Record:
"I`d say he`s pretty happy. We are looking for him to play regularly at this stage of his career. For him to play regular first-team football is critical for him."
