Kevin McDonald, the 19 year old Dundee midfielder signed for the Clarets for £500,000 (including add ons and incentives) in June 2008 after Owen Coyle doubled his previous May 2008 offer. He has been given a three year contract.
The Carnoustie born Scottish Under 21 International is widely regarded in Scotland and is tipped to be a future full Scotland International.
His only professional club to date has been Dundee who he joined in 2005
He was releaed in May 2011
