Burnley's Championship season continued with a defeat against Preston at Turf Moor on Saturday.

The Clarets unbeaten run was ended at nine-matches after a two-nil defeat in this local derby.

In the battle for Keane family 'bragging right' it was Preston's Will Keane (63) that drew first blood against his twin brother Michael when he beat Tom Heaton just past the hour to open the scoring.

Daniel Johnson (86) made sure there wasn't any way back for the Clarets with time running out as he finished off a Joe Garner's cut back for the visitors.

The best first half chance Burnley had saw the fit again Sam Vokes denied by a save from Preston 'keeper Jordan Pickford as he turned his effort against the bar with Joey Barton, Andre Gray and Vokes all trying to force an equaliser that couldn't be found.

A nine-match unbeaten Championship record Burnley had been on, which was threatened the week before, ended but fifth place was retained.

The other results this weekend were as follows:-

Saturday 5th December 2015
Birmingham 0-2 Huddersfield
Bolton 2-3 Cardiff
Brentford 2-0 MK Dons
Brighton 3-2 Charlton
Bristol City 0-2 Blackburn
Burnley 0-2 Preston
Leeds 2-1 Hull
Nottm Forest 3-0 Fulham
Rotherham 1-2 Wolves

Sunday 6th December 2015
Sheffield Wednesday 0-0 Derby

Looking at these results the stand out ones (the Burnley defeat aside) have to be the wins for Huddersfield and Brighton.

A first win for Huddersfield under new boss David Wagner was secured at St Andrew's when Town beat Birmingham, who dropped out of the top six, two-nil to themselves move out of the Championship relegation zone.

The Brighton win, which sees them retain the lead in the Championship, over Charlton wasn't a surprise but with the Seagulls two-nil down in the second half on that note it was! This fightback saw them score twice in the final five-minutes to complete the comeback to win three-two at the Amex Stadium.
