Referee:

Burnley's Championship season continued with a win at Turf Moor against Huddersfield on Saturday.

Two first half goals from Gray, as the former Brentford man continues his great start for Burnley following his club record signing in the summer, had the Clarets in control at half time. A Duff own goal, late on, gave Huddersfield hope but a two-one win was secured.

With Lynch bringing down Gray an early chance to take the lead came Burnley's way with a penalty awarded. Gray (12) stepped up himself and made no mistake for his seventh-goal of the season.

Huddersfield threaten to draw level but Paterson's cross was put wide by Miller, with this probably the reason the visitors came into this having collected only two-points on their travels.

A second almost came the way of Burnley when Barton and Gray combined, he then found Boyd but Huddersfield's Aston Villa loanee 'keeper Steer made a good save to keep it at one, however the second would come before the interval.

The Gray link up with Vokes is growing all the time with the pair combining for Gray (43) to double the lead just ahead of the break. Vokes passed to Gray who saw off Hudson before finishing past Steer a couple of minutes before half time.

In the second half Huddersfield did threaten with Wells volley over with Huws forcing Clarets 'keeper Heaton into a save shortly after.

Huddersfield did have late hope when Duff (88) turned a Dempsey cross past Heaton for an unwanted own goal (when would ever 'want' an own goal, so a stupid statement really) but it wasn't any more than a consolation for the Terriers.

Victory wasn't enough to see Burnley climb the table with third place retained but the Clarets have now been beaten only once in the last 11-matches with top well within sight and, at this stage, you would have to say few sides are in as good a form in England, let alone the Championship, as Burnley!
