Burnley's Championship season continued with a draw at the iPro Stadium against Derby on Monday.

A four-match winning run came to an end for Burnley on Monday night after a nil-nil draw with Derby, but this draw does extend the Clarets unbeaten run and moves us up to third place in the table.

Barton, probably not expected to be involved at all, did find himself on the bench but the main worry of the night was the loss of Gray in the first half, which was short of chances, when he was forced off due to a hamstring injury.

The best chance of the half fell to Boyd, with a great chance when only eight-yards out the former Hull man finished poorly as his effort went over bar as the half ended goalless.

Chances didn't exactly increase for either side in the second half either but there were certainly more, in particular as the half went on with Keogh heading over for Derby as Vokes tried his luck from distance but this was a straightforward save for former England international Carson.

Keogh came closest to breaking through with another header, with the Derby defender hitting the target this time but saw this cleared off the line by Darikwa, who was certainly in the right place as the right time.

Once again Vokes was denied by Carson, however again his effort didn't exactly threaten the Derby 'keeper but Martin did our own England 'keeper when the striker's 25-yard effort forced a save out of Heaton to ensure Burnley left with a point, which is a good point isn't it!

Talk of former Hull men ( Boyd ), why was Tom Ince not even on bench.

He was injured. Not the prettiest of games, but even when we were under the cosh a bit, we looked just as likely to score as they did. Good, ground out result, away from home. That's what eventually leads to promotion opportunities.
