Burnley's return to the Championship saw the season get underway with a draw at Elland Road against Leeds on Saturday lunchtime in the live Sky Sports game.

It was a tough game for the Clarets to kick-off the Championship season, they'll all be tough mind, and to come away with a point from this one-one draw with Rosler's Leeds side wouldn't be something Dyche would be overly disappointed with in the end.

Antenucci had given Leeds a late lead but Vokes, who also came off the bench like the Italian for Leeds, headed home to earn a point.

Vossen, making his Burnley debut following his summer arrival, combined with Jutkiewicz when he crossed into his strike partner who was 'under pressure', some might say manhandled, but Leeds defender Taylor who could have been penalised with a penalty awarded as Jutkiewicz flicked his effort over.

Leeds could have been ahead, Byrom beat Mee with his pullback to Wood seeing his acrobatic fail to cause any trouble but this then fell to Dallas but somehow his effort was deflected up onto the bar with the help of Heaton? The danger was then cleared.

A second penalty appeal was waved away by friend when Jutkiewicz again combined with Vossen with the formers attempted flick over Bellusci was handled by the Leeds defender but again no penalty was awarded.

Jutkiewicz, who was scoring in pre-season, is still in search of his first Clarets goal and was denied by Leeds 'keeper Silvestri with Kightly curling wide before Vossen was the next, via a deflection, to be denied by Silvestri.

Mowatt clipped the woodwork with Leeds hitting the post with Antenucci (83) coming on to curl home a fine effort from 25-yards with a little over five-minutes. That goal looked, from the Leeds top goalscorer from last season, like it would be the winner.

With four-minutes to go though Chesterfield signing Darikwa put in a fine right wing cross that Welsh international Vokes brilliantly headed home to make it one-one and earn a point.

Star Player

The Clarets will take certainly, even if perhaps something more was warranted perhaps, take this point having fallen behind but who was the Man of the Match for Burnley in this game? That's what the latest poll is asking so do cast a vote.

Did a starter, or someone from the bench, offer the most in this one-one draw?

Select the Clarets name you want from the list in the poll to your right but why not also share your thoughts on your thinking, and the game itself, with some views too!

Never an easy place to go. Draw your away games, win your home ones and a bit of variation in both is promotion firm, so we're on track. Great to see San score as it will be great for his confidence. And we're going to need him in firm this season.
