| Targetted really at Barnsey & Dale, but do you think there is anything more we could do to raise the profile of the VB/WTBM joint venture, so that we get our hits up more by creating more interest from the WTBM magazine users?
Ideas:
1. Push online WTBM forum more in fanzine
2. Ask for both online and magazine articles in fanzine
3. Publish archived articles on VB that are also topical again or relevant
4. For the future, joint VB/WTBM online/mag entry into the FSF Fanzine of the Year award?
5. Joint socials? |

First Team Player Posts: 61 | As a writer for the WTBM fanzine I would support all 5 of your suggestions, TMP. However, I am mindful of all the hard work of a few (Barnsey, Dale etc.) in keeping the publication going so I believe it is only fair that these key people lead on further discussions (given that at least some of the suggestions will result in extra work for them). |

| I think that WTBM appeals to many supporters and these could be fans who view other online Clarets messageboards. I think I understand what tmp is suggesting but as someone who read WTBM and enjoyed a "hard copy" the moment it is viewed as available for free on the web it could seriously affect sales and fans perception.
Perhaps it is VB that should be advertising in WTBM and reproducing some of our better threads for the readers to then want to come and take a look at VB?
I maybe looking at this from both sides of the fence and my gut feeling suggests that WTBM must remain a hard copy fanzine that does not distance itself from any of the on line sites available to all of the internet users and lets face it some of the sites get a lot more hits than we do. Quality of hits, now thats a whole new ball game! |

| Not saying the whole edition is available on the web, I am asking whether say one or two articles/edition could instead be earmarked for Vital Burnley under the WTBM online banner with the magazine also saying these articles are available online with link. The rest would be archived WTBM articles with some sort of current relevance |

Proper Fan Posts: 510 | Having spoken to several customers and writers, several (myself included, it has to be said) and concerned about the negative leaning of the site. Not trying to influence content, but letting you know - as a colleague, friend and colleague... |

| Could the same people not write for the site to try and redress the balance in their eyes and give their point of view for debate? |

| Barnsey - I always find it helpful, if not infrequently difficult, to hear feedback. Was any of it more specific? |

| Without trying to sound derogatory a bit more input would help Barnsey a lot of hard work goes into running the site from various people some we may not agree with some we do that's the all point of having forums.
You seemed to have evaded the original question asked over two months ago in your own thread?
Constructive criticism is always welcome...or indeed any input sometimes. |

| Any more thoughts chaps, surely between us we could do something which would benefit both VB and WTBM? |

Proper Fan 125 Posts: 2010 | t's going to be very difficult to get people off other forums to post on VB as they seem to stay loyal no matter what shoit is being thrown at them, To start with we need to get the people who view on here as guests (but for some reason don't register and join in) to join us and debate, How we do this is the hard question that I don't have the answer to |

Proper Fan Posts: 510 | 8clarets8, I never evade questions: just forget to revisit them: this one here being a case in point!
The negativity accusation was mainly that the drum of "why can't/doesn't the club show more ambition?", which I certainly partly agree with. I'm not saying they are 100% right, by any means. And trust me, having run a paper-based fanzine for well over a decade, I know how much hard work goes into anything like this. I don't have the answer about how to get more people over here...I don't really have the personal time to do much more than I already do in various other things, but I suppose getting more people to submit articles would be a start??? How to get THAT done is another matter! |
