Coyle-Maybe A Loan from Tomorrow

Coyle-Maybe A Loan from Tomorrow

The Football League loan market re-opens tomorrow and after a relatively quiet January transfer window for the Clarets, most fans will be wondering if we both need and will see additional loan players brought into the squad to add to the three recent loans signed last month (Varga, Cole and Randall)

Owen Coyle today confesses he may once again have to strengthen his squad with a short-term loan or two.

'We won't be closing the door just yet on anybody else coming in. We will always keep our eyes open,' said Coyle.

'The transfer deadline window closed last week, but in terms of us making loans again, you are allowed to do that (from tomorrow), plus you can still bring in free agents.

'I won't go into specifics, but if we get into a situation where we've got injuries and suspensions, we will perhaps look to bring somebody in.

'But we won't be going down the road of bringing in people if they are not better than what we've got.'

I would hope to be honest, since we are only two points off the play-offs and could still be a Premier League Club next season that we would seek to put the contingencies in place now and not wait for a disaster to happen on the injurys and suspensions side.

Will anybody be left, worth having anyway if we wait for a crisis to happen?

Let's get them in now Owen and push for promotion without having to worry!

Action not words Owen, get them in now and cover your bases!! Lets get the best we can afford and before all the good ones get snapped up by our rivals, including those teams competing with us for a Top 6 finish. We do not exactly have one of the biggest squads in the League do we?

Still reckon a good midfielder with more defensive qualities, a sort of midfield general a la Grant/Hyde at their best would also be a useful addition

All we did in the transfer window is sign three loan players, we didn't take advantage, but I would hope to see another player in. Although I am really disappointed that it is only loan deals being done by Coyle.

Think we all are! It seems our targets fell through for one reason or another, Whelan due to wage demands, Robson due to loss of interest, Riordan due to Lafferty, Argy due to Galatasaray ? Was Alan Lee a target or a smokescreen? Some would say, its just a pack of excuses
