Rumour Mill-Crewed Jones?

Crewe Alexandra look set to try and bring back their former striker Steve Jones on loan according to BBC Sport. This move was speculated about originally during the January transfer window but nothing happened.

Crewe first team coach Steve Holland speaking to BBC Radio Stoke said: 'I aim to bring in at least three players, and Steve is someone we all know about.'

Owen Coyle could be tempted after bringing in three loans during the window, but losing another player albeit temporarily could give us fewer options in a squad that is still fairly small compared to our competitors in the Championship. We could still be prone to injuries and suspensions as we mount a challenge for the play-offs.

Would this be the right thing to do with the club only two points off sixth place?

Refuses to go away this one. Dont think we can afford to reduce our squad size even further to be honest

can you class losing jones as reducing squad size? lol

Depends if we are talking about the one that can turn it on & score/assist or the one that recently looked cheesed off. Having said that. the threat of going back to Crewe seemed to stir him into action in that 10min Cameo appearance recently off the bench! Would rather have the option to use Jones than not

More from Holland according to VitalCrewe "'We have kept in touch with Steve Jones and have been very persistent there. We have continued to pester Burnley about him and hopefully something can be sorted this week.'"
