New Maradona? Same Old Story

There is some very disappointing news on the Official Site that we have failed to bring Carrusca aka The New Maradona to Turf Moor on loan from Galatasaray

Owen Coyle reveals:

"We tried to sign Carrusca on loan from Galatasaray but that looks as if it has hit a snag at their end,

' We put in a very good offer to bring the player in on loan until the end of the season and there has been a difference of opinion between Galatasaray and the player.

'At the moment that looks like it won't happen so I'm disappointed with that but we'll move on. He would have been a great addition to the squad, being a natural wide left player.'

Now I really am getting fed up with the whole thing.

I assume these quotes from Coyle in LT, preceed the statement above. Sadly it just makes the announcement above even worse: "We've been consistent all the way along but there's been a mix-up at the other end, so it's between Galatasary and the player to sort out. We just have to wait and see what happens," said Coyle. "It could go to the wire. The lad's in Turkey and we're here so that doesn't leave a lot of time to sort things out, and with it being an international transfer it would have to be done today. "He wants to come to Burnley and play in England. He knows it's an opportunity to come to show everyone how good a player he is and to put the spotlight on himself."
