Rumour Mill-Lee Lets See

Rumour Mill-Lee Lets See

The Tractor Boys are today it is understood bracing themselves for a bid from Burnley for striker Alan Lee according to the Lancashire Telegraph

The club according to souces in Suffolk have made contact with Ipswich stating their interest and enquiring about fees.

The previous rumours that a £900,000 deal for the Ipswich striker had already been agreed were denied by Ipswich gaffer Jim Magilton and chairman David Sheepshanks. However, Jim Magilton did not rule out a move at the right price confirming he could be willing to let the Republic of Ireland international leave the club and possibly return to his former club.

Another case of watch this space as the transfer rumour clock ticks down!

I wish it would die!!!! If we are silly enough to spend £900,000 on Lee instead of the same on Riordan we need a serious reality check!!!

Not sure if that £900k has any merits anyway, someone in the media seems to have got this wrong bigtime so far! I do agree though if we could tempt Celtic to part with Riordan for £900k-£1million it would have seemed the better option

It would, apparently there's a £500,000 offer in for Robson, with add-ons upto a million! If that's true I don't know whether it'll be enough to tempt them to part with someone who is quite hot property in the SPL! Riordan makes sense, FACT! Robson makes sense FACT! Lee makes no sense at all!!!!!

Tend to agree, but I suppose if Riordan/Robson falls through, then Lee might be a better option than nowt?

Yeah, something is better than nothing and i suppose we've seen what OC instills in players! He seems very good at making players play in an attractive way! So it might be a good thing, especially with all the second comings of late!!!!

Whelan looks the easiest one to attract to the Turf out of the four names mentioned to date. Just hope there are some names that havent been leaked that are irons in the fire still.

Well it'd be nice to have a shiny new player for saturday, one we've heard of or one we haven't. We do definatly need someone sooner rather than later to keep this promotion dream alive!

Certainly do, made my feelings felt in the article below this one! I am not sure I could accept midtable mediocrity again, having had to sell or lose our key goalscorer yet again as we have at the same time every season for as long as I can remember! We have to show we mean business this time. It would be criminal not to IMO, when only 4 points off 6th! Bring somebody in & sharpish
