'If It's Football, It's Vital'

New Vital Burnley Prediction League

Is it luck, or is it skill? Here is your chance to prove to other Clarets fans that you have the skill to predict the future in Vital Burnley`s very own prediction league.

The league is just for fun and it allows you to predict the results of Burnley`s games each week and get points for how close your prediction is. Who will come out on top and prove themselves to be Vital Burnley`s Predictor of the Season?

Points can be gained as follows;

3 POINTS can be obtained for predicting the correct score (e.g. 1-1 predicted, 1-1 final score.)

1 POINT can be scored for predicting the correct result (e.g. 0-0 predicted, 1-1 final score.)

1 BONUS POINT is awarded for correct goal scorers (e.g. 1-0 Blake predicted, 1-0 Blake final score.)

1 POINT is deducted for a failure to predict a score, in order to give those who predict more often to have an increased chance of winning.

To post your predictions look out for the specific match Prediction Thread in our Matchday Mayhem forum. We will be starting with the Scunthope game this Saturday (26th) and the thread is already up entitled Prediction thread: Scunthorpe (H) Saturday 26th JanWe will devise a table and give a brief summary after every game.

This will be a test run for the rest of the season and we will start in earnest for a full season in 2008/9.

If you have any other suggestions in ways in which I can improve this league, please feel free to comment in the forum.
