Ipswich Chairman denies Lee Rumour

According to the East Anglian Daily Times, Ipswich chairman David Sheepshanks (Pictured above) has today poured cold water on the rumour that the club had agreed to sell striker Alan Lee to the Clarets for £1m.

Sheepshanks is quoted as saying:

"We haven't had a bid from Burnley and one has certainly not been accepted. There is a lot going on but Alan Lee is still our player."

Alan Lee himself , who of course is an ex- Burnley player, says he is
settled at Ipswich Town and not looking to move

He said today: "I have not heard anything and I want to stay with Ipswich."

Interesting the figure also quoted is £1 million not £900,000 rumoured to be the fee yesterday

Quote from Daz Bentley on Clarets World match commentary today-Lee " Never mentioned in the four corridors of Turf Moor, purely media and messageboard source"

Expectancy was high among the Clarets on the imminent arrival of Lee . Suddenly it appears that every thing has collapsed . The person in question is denying it although in the near past he was a Claret .What a great miss?
