Rumour Mill-Barry Robson Still!

Rumour Mill-Barry Robson Still!

Sky Sports are suggesting that Portsmouth, Ipswich and Burnley are tracking Dundee United midfielder Barry Robson. The Burnley interest in the player was reported on Vital Burnley a few weeks back.

All three clubs it would appear had representatives at Dundee United's Scottish Cup match against Clyde yesterday.

Robson also scored the winning goal from distance to impress his admirers.

Barry Robson is also understood to have a buy-out clause in his Tannadice contract fuelling all the speculation in the transfer window

Celtic are also believed to be interested in the 29 year old.

Dundee United gaffer, Craig Levein fears losing the player and is quoted as saying the following

''Of course I do [fear losing Robson].

'I'm the manager of the team and he is the best player. But nobody has made any offers and we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.'

I can't imagine, why we at Pompey would be interested in a 29 scottish player from Dundde Utd, will do respect. You're welcome to him.

Does seem odd Matt, although I suppose Sheringham and Shearer still had it in them for Premiership clubs even though they were well past their sell-by date

I think he'd make quite a nice addition for us! Add Riordan and Whelan to that too and we might be onto something!
