Burnley Fans Trial by Frustration
Do we ever sign anybody we have watched in a trial match or bring in as trialists? I thought it was bad enough under Steve Cotterill it looks to be continuing under Coyle. Are we bad at spotting potential talent or just unlucky?
According to the Offical Site, Owen Coyle has confirmed that none of the un-named trialists at Turf Moor will be offered terms
He said: 'None of the trialists we have had are, at this moment in time, right for the football club'
More frustration then for those Clarets fans eager for some positive news on the transfer front.
Still no additional signings yet then in the January window which is now in its 16th day. We still only have one new face on the books (Loan,Stan Varga)
At least we have now also officially rejected Charlton's bid for Andy Gray. It is believed a bid in the order of £1-1.5 million was rejected last night by Owen Coyle & the Board.
Will Charlton increase their bid? Will Ipswich now be the club to fend off?
Just keep him lads, we cant keep going on dismantling teams and selling our top scorers, no matter what the price, especialy since we are not exactly out of the promotion or play-offs places just yet!

Yeah it does, although if they aren't good enough or are percieved as not good enough then it's at the managers discretion!
I just wish we'd pick a star in the making up on a trial!

yep agreew ith you we liked to try and find a star in the making but then the big moneys would gobble him up oh and if you haven't heard we are one of the big money's now so be aware of that

Isn't it sad though that you're having to pump so much money in to avoid relegation!
Although money can only buy you so much!
You'll end up like B*&tard Rovers, buying the premiership title!

..and we could mention Wigan in the same breath! At least QPR have a proper history though and I wish them well! If the Clarets get promoted, that will seem so much more sweeter if we do it without mega-paying our way to success via a big sugar daddy or rich consortium!

Its an interesting conundrum, would Jose Mourinho stand any chance of getting Burnley promoted if he didnt have any money to bring in players, would Owen Coyle win the Premier League for Burnley if we had Chelsea's money?
