Rumour Mill- Gray Day for Clarets?

According to the Mirror, the Charlton boss Alan Pardew put in a £1m-plus offer for Andy Gray but was turned down last night.

Pardew is believed to have tabled a bid after making several enquiries.

The South London Press also reported last night that the Addicks were closing in on Andy Gray suggesting though that they may have to pay more than £1.5million for the 30-year-old.

They went on to say that Gray was Pardew's prime transfer target and worryingly was keen on a move to The Valley.

It is understood he could double his salary if he moved but it loooks like the deal has fallen through if the Mirror is to be believed today.

Mmmmmmm all a bit confusing this! Is he going, Is he staying? Does he even want to stay? Suppose we shall have to see!

The worst case scenario is that he decides to leave on the 30th January and we have no time to find a replacement, thus ensuring we have committed hari-kari and stand no chance of the play-offs despite only being 4 points off them at the moment!
