Rumour Mill-Andrew Driver

Oldham born, Hearts winger Andrew Driver has been linked with the Clarets according to the Lancashire Telegraph. it is understood however that no discussions have taken place between the two clubs.

Driver has played for Hearts, his first professional club since 2004 and in August 2006 he signed a five year extension to his contract.

The winger has also scored 8 goals in 40 appearances for the club.

Not quite sure about this rumour, the LT reporter,Suzanne Geldard concludes by saying 'But as I understand it there hasn't been contact between the two clubs about the Oldham-born 20-year-old.' so it begs the question as to why they have mentioned it and what source they are using

It does, but there must be some reason that they've mentioned it!

I also found another interesting Daily Mail article just before Christmas suggesting that Stuart Pearce may well select him for England U-21 after seeing him play.Driver moved to Scotland at the age of 11 and has represented his adopted home at schoolboy level, even scoring against England in one match. However, he cannot represent Scotland at any senior grade because he has no blood relations from north of the border. That has left him to concentrate his international ambitions on making a breakthrough with England.

I sincerely hope that this avenue may prove good . As established player from a great club like Hearts ismost erlcome provided this time this deal is materialised.
