Rumour Mill- Richard Chaplow

According to the Daily Mirror, Owen Coyle is trying to bring former Clarets midfielder Richard Chaplow back to Turf Moor.

Chaplow was transferred to West Brom for £1.5million two years ago but has failed to make a significant impression at the Hawthorns.

If this is true it will complete the signing of a remarkable trio of former players returning to the club, restoring the smiles after the Winter misery of losing Robbie Blake and Richard Chaplow in 2005 and Ade Akinbiyi in 2006

"I have had a conversation with Burnley's manager but at the moment it seems to me they are not in a position to make any progress on those discussions," Mowbray told the Birmingham Mail.

Well the inital talks are in all we have to do is get a deal down on the table, I think it might all boil down to money, how much they want and how much we are prepared to pay!

Sod it,sod,it,sod it! BBC Sport Preston have completed the signing of West Brom midfielder Richard Chaplow in a deal which could rise to £1.35m. Chaplow had been at The Hawthorns for nearly three years after moving from Burnley for £1.5m but had not figured regularly in the side this season. The 22-year-old made 58 appearances for the Baggies, scoring three goals. Albion will earn an initial £800,000 and could receive a further £550,000 from performance-related add-ons while there is also a 20% sell-on clause.
