'If It's Football, It's Vital'

...and its good news for Duff too

The options in the back-four could well improve significantly in the New Year with the good news that Micahel Duff is now recovering well from his cruciate ligament damage picked up in the home game against Crystal Palace back in September

We are told that a small camera inserted into Duff's knee has revealed that the damage to the cruciate was not as bad as first feared.

'Michael Duff is a lot better than we first expected,' said the gaffer Owen Coyle.

'I fully expect Duff to be in Claret colours long before the end of the season.

'He is ahead of Besart and it will be a tremendous boost for everyone to see him in a Clarets shirt again.'

This is excellent news and it sounds like we can expect to see Duff playing for the Clarets again maybe as early as January if not February.

With Jordan now also recovered from injury and with Caldwell also close to full fitness, the options in the back-four are going to soon be very impressive. Choose four from this lot:

Duff
Jordan
Caldwell
Unsworth
Alexander
Harley
Carlisle
McCann

cant wait for duff to come back, he's a real lynch pin at the back. dying to see what berisha has in his arsenal as well

Aye agree with that, we do seem to have riches now in the back four, especially when Caldwell and Duff return. The young lad Berisha is the great unknown at the moment, cant wait to see what he can offer as you say
