Berisha back in New Year?

Our Albanaian International winger Besart Berisha, signed in the close season from Hamburg, has been out of action all season having picked up cruciate knee ligament damage whilst on International duty playing for the Albanian team. He is still to make his first team debut for the Clarets, having only been seen playing in the pre-season friendlies

Having undergone surgery he is now midway through his rehabilitation with the signs looking promising after concerns he would not play at all in the 2007/8 season

Gaffer,Owen Coyle is hoping that Berisha will make his first-team debut in the last month of the campaign:

'Besart has done three months of rehab and is probably halfway through that now. He's got another three months to go.

'I'm hoping to see him in a Clarets shirt before the end of the season.

'We are probably looking at the end of March when he is fully right. We are hoping that will be the case.

'And if that is the case, then we will look to get him in a Clarets shirt before the end of the season.'

He might be fit, but will he be able to get into the team? By March we will most probably know our fate for the season ie promotion or midtable (again!). If the former and we are have a winning formula i can only see him playing if we have a suspension/injury in midfield/wing. However, great to have depth in squad to call upon
