McCann Do!

Clarets midfielder Chris McCann could win back a place in the team to face Cardiff City away this Saturday

Chris has been forced to miss the last three matches after being stretchered off two weeks ago against Bristol City with a hamstring injury.

He successfully however came though a training session on Thursday and could be giving the gaffer a dilemma whether to play him or not!

Steve Cotterill is quoted as saying the following:

'Chris has made great progress; better than we could have thought.

'Probably the biggest problem now is that fact he has rejoined training and I need to get my head around that one because if you play and tear it, you are out even longer.

'But he trained very hard with no ill effects, he has done a fair bit of work next week and he is 100% confident.'

With the long-term injury to Duff, Graham Alexander is almost certain to play in his more normal right back position rather than midfield. This could give Chris McCann a greater chance of playing ahead of Spicer, James O'Connor, Spicer and Gudjonsson.

Good to see the lad recover so quick though, I suspect he may start on the bench and wont be risked for the full 90 minutes.
