'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Life is a Bowl of Cherries for Gaz!

Midfielder Garreth O'Connor wants to extend his loan deal at Dean Court. Although officially still on the books of Burnley FC, he was transfer-listed by gaffer, Steve Cotterill before the loan was agreed.

Gaz joined the Cherries on loan over the summer although he has not had the best of returns to his former club, AFC Bournemouth.

O'Connor has suffered with quite a number of injuries since his return.

It is reported he said the following to the local paper, the Daily Echo...

'I would be happy with an extension if Bournemouth want me.

'My current loan period is over on October 12 and although the club hasn't said anything to me about it, I want to stay.

'My time here has been frustrating because I keep picking up niggling injuries...'

Last season we had a number of transfer-listed players, who suddenly found themselves back off the list and playing for the Clarets again. Micah Hyde, Gifton Noel-Williams and Brian Jensen all found themselves in this position although Hyde and Gifton are no longer with the club.

It doesnt sound too hopeful that the same fate will befall Gaz, but it will be interesting to see what decisions are made come October 12th!
