According to the Lancashire Telegraph, Steve Cotterill has been turned down by a player he was keen to bring to Turf Moor, by all accounts a right back
The gaffer was keeping the identity of the player a secret
'I'm always looking to bring a few in. I was a little bit disappointed on Friday night when I found out somebody I'd been looking for and spent a bit of time with trying to get him doesn't want to come,'
'I think the player should remain nameless, but if somebody pops up and goes to another club before the deadline in perhaps a position everyone knows we'd have wanted you might be able to put two and two together, but I think probably it's best kept to ourselves really.'
We better keep our eyes peeled and put two and two together then!
