Fulham not having a Laff!

The gaffer, Steve Cotterill has again insisted this week that Northern Ireland International striker Kyle Lafferty is not for sale.

Lafferty scored for Northern Ireland in the Euro 2008 qualifier against Liechtenstein last night as they defeated the minnows 3:1 although he also missed a sitter in the first half! Nevertheless the Ireland games are raising his profile and he also has been the subject of recent speculation linking him with a move to Fulham. Sanchez of course is no stranger to Lafferty being the former Northern Ireland boss.

Steve Cotterill was however angry with Irish television last night based on the commentary of the match

He said: 'I don't take very kindly to the commentator saying he bumped into Kyle and asked when he was going to join Fulham.

'I think it is rubbish that he is saying that to him and rubbish that he is saying it on air.

'I also think it is being very disrespectful to Burnley, assuming it is only a matter of time before he joins them.

'When that happens it just makes you want to dig your heels in even more.

Steve then emphasized the Club's position regarding the player:

'Kyle is not for sale. We haven't put anybody up for sale and if we wanted to we would put them on the transfer list.

'It's all relevant to fees and every player has his price. But Kyle listens to me and trusts me and we don't want to sell him.

'I would rather Kyle be a better player when he leaves here than he is now.'
