Colchester U's McGreal?

Colchester U's McGreal?

The U's boss Geraint Williams looks interested in signing John McGreal who has been offered a trial at Layer Road.

The former Tranmere and Ipswich defender did not have his contract renewed by the Clarets at the end of last season and has been training with the U's since last week.

McGreal could well play in the next couple of friendlies in a bid. Lets hope Williams gives the 35-year-old a contract. John was the last of the released Clarets to be linked with anybody.

Frank Sinclair we know has found a home at Huddersfield, Branch is now at Accy and Coyne is playing for Tranmere again! Garreth O'Connor officially on the transfer list is also looking for a loan deal at his former club Bournemouth.

Anyway good luck to all our former players.

Not to be Im afraid....Us boss Geraint Williams has decided against offering trialist John McGreal a contract. "At this time we are not in a position to offer John a long-term deal, which having spoken to him was something he was looking for at this stage of his career," said Williams. "With that in mind we decided it was in John's best interests to try to find somewhere else
