'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Burnley on (Valley) Parade!

The friendlies are coming quick and fast at the moment and we now face League 2 side, Bradford City tonight at the Valley Parade in (7:45pm Kick-off). This will be the first of two matches againt White Rose opposition with Leeds, next up at the Turf on Saturday before the Clarets embark on their Austrian jaunt.

Steve Cotterill could be sweating on the fitness of Robbie Blake and Kyle Lafferty for this match with both of them trying to shake off injuries.

Robbie Blake will be keen to play against his former club but he missed Saturday's 1-1 draw with Middlesbrough because of a thigh strain.

Kyle Lafferty was stetchered off with a knee injury against Wrexham last Tuesday and although he did start against Boro, he picked up a back strain and was substituted after about 15 minutes.

Cotterill told the Burnley Express: 'Kyle's had a little bit of a stop, start time, and we thought he might be alright again with his knee, but his back flared up. His back spasmed really, and he was struggling.

'He's going through a bit of a tough time at the moment, the young man.

'And Robbie tweaked his thigh on Friday in training, so there was absolutely no

ay we were going to risk him in a friendly game, so we'll just wait and see how he is, maybe for Bradford.

'We're not quite sure how he will be, but otherwise we're okay.

'We've got enough bodies'

Lets hope we continue our good performance in these friendlies, after shaking off the cobwebs against Accy, we had a convincing 5:2 win away to Wrexham and a very creditable draw against Premiership opposition last Saturday
