Dont Reid Anything Into It!
Burnley Football Club have confirmed on their Offical Site that they are not in negotiations over a proposed takeover of the club.
It was claimed by one paper today (Daily Mail) that Peter Reid was understood to be heading a consortium looking into a takeover.
Brendan Flood was quick to scotch such rumours and told the Official Site
'We have had no contact from any consortium, nor from Peter Reid and even if we did it would be a waste of time.
'We have just got ourselves into a position to take the club forward and we have our own plans to do this over the coming weeks, months and years.'
All this came rather out of the blue and it has to be asked why would Peter Reid want to buy the club anyway, not a club he has any particular connection with
