'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Lafferty,Worthington and Leeds!

Nigel Worthington, the new Northern Ireland manager is said to have nothing but support for his young teenage striker, Kyle Lafferty

Speaking to the 'Sunday Life' he is quoted as saying:

'I've spoken to Kyle in the last few days and he's refreshed after a good holiday and is very upbeat.

'Kyle is a Burnley player, he fully accepts and respects that and he is doing what a good professional does, just getting on with it until there is a time when something comes up that suits Burnley and him.

'Kyle's at Burnley focusing on his work and it is most important he does focus on his work so that he's 100 per cent at the start of the season and available for the Northern Ireland squad.

'He needs games. That's what you train for - to play games.'

The paper than suggests that there is speculation that Steve Cotterill might be thinking of loaning out the striker with Leeds appearing to be in the frame

Now where did they get that from I wonder? Kyle you been phoning Healy?
