More Burnley Rumours- Robbie Blake

Yep, its that old Robbie Blake rumour again!

This time 'The People' have suggested Cotterill wants to bring the Clarets legend back to Turf Moor for £250,000.

The popular former Claret is now 31 and if he returned could he capture the form that once thrilled the Clarets faithful?

He is still not that old and it would be hard to imagine the player being happy to continue his football in League One. That's assuming Leeds can even sort out their administration problems (otherwise known as Ken Bates)!

Still we have heard all this before although I suspect this is one rumour that certainly would please most of the Clarets fans should he return and it could be a boost for Season Ticket sales too!

Things seem to be hotting up today in relation to this rumour. The Sun suggests Blake is in talks with Burnley FC and a number of other papers link the potential transfer. BBC Sport report:'Leeds striker Robbie Blake is in talks with Burnley about a £500,000 return to Turf Moor. (Various)' If Blake does get anywhere near the form he had for the Clarets he will be adored by the Clarets faithful and never give up on a player who could buck the trend that Dales-Dad refers to!

The latest according to local rag, 'Lancashire Telegraph': 'Robbie Blake has NOT yet signed for Burnley, the Lancashire Telegraph can reveal. Reports today suggested that the Leeds striker tied up a deal last night to return to Turf Moor. But that is not the case. Burnley ARE interested in re-signing him but are waiting for the buy-out decision at Elland Road before making a move. That decision is expected this afternoon.
