Lets start with some actual news reported during the week by the club
Lads back in Training!
The Clarets reported back for work on Wednesday after their summer break and their first task was to run around Townley Park and loosen up!
A number of photographs were taken of the training during the week and one fuelled speculation as to who the new face might be. We all recognised Kiraly and Berisha but who was the black lad running around with the lads? Was this the new triallist? A French lad? All are tight-lipped at the club
Austria matches announced
The Clarets travel out to Austria later this month to a training camp and whilst out there will play in two friendly matches before returning to England.
Romanian Divizia A outfit FC Brasov will be the first club we play at Abtenau on Tuesday July 31 with a 5.30pm kick-off.
The second and last game will be against Apollon Limassol FC, the 2006 Cyprus First Division champions.
The match will be played on Friday August 3 at Bad Goisern with a 6.00pm kick-off.
The next game they play after that will be the season openner at Turf Moor against West Brom
Jimmy Mac Stand to get some investment
The Jimmy McIlroy Stand void at Turf Moor is to undergo a £1m refurbishment it was announced this week by the club.
The space known as 'The Void' has lain empty since the stand was built in 1996. It is now to become an Enterprise Haven for new businesses.
The club are also hoping that new sections can also be used by fans on match days.
Burnley Football Club's Community Sports Trust has been working with a number of public and private partners so that the stand will shortly become a state-of-the-art base for start-up businesses as part of the successful Pennine Lancashire LEGI Programme.
Dave Edmundson said about the venture on the Official Clarets website: 'Joint collaboration by all parties has ensured the successful funding to Pennine Lancashire to get this project off the ground. It is a great day for Burnley Football Club.'
More quotes from key folk involved in this venture together with artists impressions of the new facility can be found on the Club's Official Website.
Gossip,Rumours and Worries!
So thats the facts what about the gossip, rumours and worries?
Speculation about who might be coming to the Turf continued this week with perhaps the most ridiculous suggestion being that we might be interested in Francis Jeffers. Looks like hes going to be an Ipswich player though (Phew!)
Apart from that though a quiet week and security at the Club does seem to have tightened up with no leaks coming out unlike previous seasons.
Is no news good news? Many Clarets fans seem impatient that so far we have only brought in two new players in the close season (Kiraly and Berisha). It does however seem a quiet market all round for Championship clubs and maybe we should just hold our horses until the new season kinks off and until we can see what the squad actually looks like before the transfer window closes at the end of August.
