Baggies!

Baggies!

The Official Fixtures were released today, and because its a copyright joke we cant say too much about them but if you want to see them in all their glory then click this link on the Burnley FC Official site:

The 2007-8 Fixtures Link

The season starts on Saturday 11th August and we are allowed to say (pathetic isnt it,'allowed to say', gawd what a silly world!) that we will be playing West Brom at home. A pretty good challenge for the first match of the season against a club that just missed out on promotion in the Play-Offs final against Derby. It will be interesting to see how the Baggies play and whether they have got over their disappointment! Lets hope not, three points at the start of the campaign against such strong opposition will set-us up nicely

We can also mention, when we play our local Lancashire derbies, which this season as well as Preston also includes newly promoted Blackpool. We first play the Tangerines at home in September and then its off to the sea (probably frozen!) believe it or not on New Years Day!

We have to wait until the end of the year before we play Preston with a home match just before the hectic Christmas period. We dont get to see how the new developments at Deepdale are getting on until March 2008. By then lets hope for a change its the Clarets looking at the play-offs and Preston going for midtable mediocrity!

Oh well enjoy and bring on the first match when we stand a chance of seeing two sorts of Baggies! Step forward Gabor...
