Cotterill's Ade Frustration

Cotterill's Ade Frustration

The speculation regarding the Nigerian striker shows no signs of waning.

The 31-year-old striker, who has 14 goals this season, has been continually linked with a move away from the club, with Sheffield United allegedly the interested party.

Speaking to the Lancashire Evening Telegraph, Cotterill said: '

'We're looking at the paper every day to see if we're selling Ade. It's not a big worry. It's a pain in the ass.

'They can speculate while we wait with baited breath to see if we sell someone before we can speculate. It's not ideal really.'

Akinbiyi joined the club from Stoke City last year, in a £600,000 transfer. Any fee for the hitman is believed to be upwards of £1.5 million.
