Burnley Rumours-Marek Saganowski.
Sky Sports report that Southampton could face difficulty retaining striker, Marek Saganowski.
Saganowski is now looking at other opportunities after the end of his successful loan spell at the Saints club
The Polish forward joined Southampton on loan from Troyes in January 2007.
It is believed Saganowski is keen to secure a permanent move away from Troyes and is understood to be interesting a number of Premiership and Championship clubs
However, the player's agent Jaroslaw Kolakowski, although admitting a number of clubs were in the chase, felt that his preference was still to stay at Southampton.
'There are a number of clubs interested in Marek, but at this moment I am in negotiations with Southampton,' Kolakowski is quoted as saying.
'Some Premiership clubs and Championship teams have contacted me regarding Marek.
'Marek wants to stay in England and he wants to go to a good club.
'Southampton are a good club and they are his first choice as he enjoyed him time there.
'But if talks take too long with Southampton he could move to another club.'
That is the background but it was reported earlier today by the Daily Mirror that one club interested are Burnley FC and that they are prepared to offer £1 million for the 28-year-old. Marek also has sixteen full caps for Poland and this would be an awesome buy if the Clarets could pull this one off.
Pure speculation and paper gossip of course at this stage and as usual no comment from the club so lets just see if this is true and we can beat Southampton and others to his signature.
