Kiraly the Keeper a Claret

The gaffer today signed 31 year old,Hungarian international goalkeeper Gabor Kiraly to become the first new signing of the Summer

Gabor joins the Clarets on an initial two-year deal although under the terms of the contract,Burnley FC will have option to sign the keeper for a third season.

Kiraly had three years with Crystal Palace, and made 111 appearances for the Eagles.

Gabor started his career in Hungary with Haladas before joining German Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin in 1997 making over 200 appearances for the club.

The 6f 4 keeper joined Palace on a Bosman free transfer in Summer 2004 following Palace's promotion to the Premiership. He also had a loan spell at Aston Villa last season during their goalkeeping crisis.

The Hungarian international has amassed 70 caps for his country.

Kiraly will join his new team mates after they return for pre-season training in early July.

It will be interesting now who will get the number one jersey and how 'The Beast' will react to the news.

Danny Coyne of course has now been released from the club and appears to be attracting quite a bit of interest with Leeds being the latest reported to be after the Welsh International

Welcome aboard Gabor! Any relation to Zsa Zsa?
