Burnley Rumours-Kris Commons

Kris Commons was offered a new contract by Nottingham Forest this month. His current contract expires at the end of June 2007.

However Commons is understood to have rejected a new contract at Nottingham Forest according to the Sun.

The paper turned a notch in the Rumour Mill today by suggesting that the Clarets were interested in the 23 year old along with Birmingham, Stoke and Preston.

Kristian (aka 'Kris') Commons was born in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire in 1983.

He joined Forest ,the club he supported as a kid, at the start of the 2004 season.

Commons joined from Stoke City where he started his career as a trainee.

The talented winger has the knack of scoring spectacular goals too with 15 scored in just over 50 matches

The fact that Forest failed to win promotion in the play-offs losing to Yeovil, probably affected Kris Commons decision to look elsewhere.

The Clarets face it would appear strong competition in trying to lure him to Turf Moor but it will be interesting to see how this one develops! (if of course the specualtion is even true!)
