'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Cotterill Calls for Improvement

Burnley travel to Wales this weekend, to face a Cardiff side in a game of high significance to both clubs and the playoff picture.

Returning to league action for the first time since the FA Cup exit at Pride Park, The Clarets will be looking to win their first game on the road in over two months, the last a rollercoaster match at Mike Newell's Luton by three goals to two.

That statistic reads worse than the picture is however, with Burnley having played well in most of those away ties, with the result not showing the whole picture.

'We know we're playing well enough that if we carry on with those performances, results will come,' Cotterill told Burnley's official site.

The Clarets go into the game at Ninnian Park just one point above their opponents, with the winner set to be well placed in the fight for the playoff positions. Its the so-called six pointer, and should prove to be an exciting game.
