'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Coughlan Owls and Hopes

There has been some speculation that central defender, Graham Coughlan could be leaving Sheffield Wednesday on a full transfer in the summer. The Clarets currently have the player on loan until the end of the season and some fans have been wondering if Steve Cotterill might be considering signing the player in the Summer possibly as a replacement for John McGreal.

Coughlan however does still have a year left on his Owls contract and appears to be hoping they retain his services

'I'll be doing all I can to maybe make a go of it at Sheffield Wednesday,' said Coughlan,

'On and off the park, and helping out the young lads as well, I think there's plenty of life left in the old dog yet.

'I've got grit and determination. I'll be rolling my sleeves up and trying to get an opportunity.

'I've had the privilege and pleasure of representing Sheffield Wednesday - the biggest club I've ever played for - and I want to get back and do my best to reverse the fortunes that I've experienced this season.'

The 32-year-old centre half and former captain goes on to say

'Obviously I've been disappointed not to have played much since November.

'These things happen in football; the manager makes a decision and you have to grin and bear it, and if it turns out that you're not in his plans, then you have to make contingency plans.

'God knows what's around the corner. It's been a great experience to play for Sheffield Wednesday; hopefully I'll get another opportunity.'
