All four Clarets won caps for their country this weekend in the Euro 2008 qualifiers
Michael Duff and Kyle Lafferty were both in the starting eleven for Northern Ireland as they easily beat Lichtenstein 4-1 in Vaduz.Lawrie Sanchez (pictured above) was happy with the result and is quoted as saying "we kept the dream of qualifying alive tonight"
The Leeds striker,David Healy scored an hat-trick in the match before being replaced by a third Claret, Steve Jones for the last seven minutes of the match
Duff played the full 90 minutes with Lafferty being substituted early in the second-half.Lafferty however will be pleased with his performance and was involved with the first goal after 52 minutes when Healy found the empty net after Peter Jehle had saved Kyle Lafferty's shot but only to the Leeds striker's feet.
Danny Coyne was also selected to play in goal for Wales at Dublin's Croke Park against the Republic of Ireland. The Irish team however came out winners 1-0 in the historic first football match at the venue
Coyne saved well at the feet of Damien Duff early in the game but was eventually beaten when Stephen Ireland got round him and scored from a narrow angle.
Our four International Clarets could possibly get more action this Wednesday, when Northern Ireland face Sweden at Windsor Park and Wales take on San Marino at the Millennium Stadium.
