Gud Call Up!

Icelandic midfielder and recent Clarets signing, Joey Gudjonsson, has been named in the Iceland squad to face Spain on March 28.

He will be joining 17 of his team mates who if selected to play will be trying to add to the three points from four games that Iceland have managed so far in Group F. They will be hoping they can move up from sixth place and dent some Spanish pride!

Joey joins Danny Coyne for Wales and Kyle Lafferty, Michael Duff and Steve Jones for Northern Ireland as the Clarets called up for this weekend's Euro 2008 qualifiers.

Gudjonsson will be hoping his form improves since his recent club performances for the Clarets have been lacklustre with the midfielder being dropped to the bench for our last match against Preston.
