FA Cup run starts

Burnley begin their FA Cup campaign when they travel to Derby Couty on Saturday.

It maybe wasn't the money spinning tie the Clarets had hoped for, but it represents a real chance of progressing to the fourth round, and possibly a tie against one of the Premiership's elite.

Thats not to say The Rams will be a push over. The two sides played out an entertaining 2-2 draw at Turf Moor back in August, and Derby will prove to be a tough test in a match that was also an FA Cup fixture in 1999, when County were a Premiership club, with the Clarets in Division Two.

An Andy Cooke goal gave Burnley the upset victory on that day, and it is testament to Burnley that there is a realistic chance of victory this time.

It should prove to be an exciting game, and both teams will be going all out for victory, knowing a good cup run can give the team a boost domestically as well as financially.

Tickets for the game have sold well, although Derby have confirmed that there are tickets available on the day for travelling supporters who decide to make the journey to Pride Park.
