Just the Season Ticket!

The club have announced that if Clarets fans buy a season ticket before the start of the 2007/08 season they will automatically qualify for a free season ticket should the club achieve promotion to the Premiership.

Barry Kilby, talking about this pioneering deal said:

'The supporters are the lifeblood of this football club and without you we can achieve nothing.

'This pledge is a potential reward for all the fans who choose to put their money where their mouths are before every season.

'Looking at our current league position the Premiership may seem a long way off, but it is only a few months ago that we were among the top Championship teams.

'Football is full of such ups and downs and I believe that next year we can build a squad to get us back on the up.

'Indeed, with the extra backing we hope this offer will generate from supporters, we genuinely hope to be able to build a squad capable of challenging for promotion.

'If this happens, I guarantee that any man, woman or child who has bought a ticket for a promotion-winning season will be able to watch Premiership football for free at Turf Moor.'

'We believe this is an offer unique to supporters of a Championship club.

'We support the reduction in ticket prices being made by several Premiership clubs, but the money that is handed exclusively to the 20 clubs through the new TV deal allows for such swingeing cuts.

'Because precious little of that cash filters down through the leagues, our margins are far, far tighter and we are unable to make such drastic reductions.

'However we remain wholly competitive with one of the lowest season ticket packages in the Championship and this new pledge is one way we can hopefully reward our fervent and loyal supporters for their continued support.'
