'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Djemba-Djemba and D'Joy!

Eric Djemba-Djemba says he is happy to be playing for the Clarets hoping the loan till the end of the season will boost his chances with Aston Villa.

The Cameroon midfielder has played only once so far under current Villa boss Martin O'Neill but suggests their previous manager David O'Leary, was more of a problem.

'I'm happy because I'm playing again, I'm working again,' Djemba-Djemba told The Daily Mail.

'I've lost my place in my national team and I'm not playing at the top level.

'It has been embarrassing. But I'm very happy to be here.

'David O'Leary was never straight with me and, of all of them, he is the one who has hurt me. A lot of the players were very happy when he left.

'It is different with Martin O'Neill. He is straight, and so is Steve Cotterill here at Burnley.

'Honesty is all you can ask for.'

He wss suspended for one match after a second yellow in the Derby game at Pride Park.(sent off in last minute) He came on from the bench last week against the Owls and has played in all the other games?

Ah I think you have misread the article. He only played one match at ASTON VILLA under O'Neill!
