'If It's Football, It's Vital'

The Manager Says!-Clarets 1-1 Owls

Steve Cotterill puts a brave face on things today following another match in which we failed to pick up three points. You now have to go back to Leeds at home on the 28th November, to recall our last win. Thats now 11 League matches and 1 FA Cup match ago!

Steve says of the match

'We could have won the game and they could have won the game, so I suppose a draw is a fair result.'

'I thought they looked like two sides who hadn't won for a while, but that's where both teams are at this moment in time.

'When you are in the run you are in, you hope and sometimes it's not so much about hope, it's about making it happen.

'I have no problems with any effort today - just that missing belief we had earlier in the season that when chances do come, bodies will be there.

'We need to be prepared to put our bodies on the line and get in there. If you're not prepared to do that you won't score.

'I thought the confidence levels weren't bad and they reacted in the right manner to the goal being conceded. We will get better with time, but we will keep going.'

So what are your thoughts on Steve's comments, what else do you think he can, and should do to get this team to win again?

This really is an awful run we are on and I am not sure where our next win is going to come from until we have a team firing on all cylinders with confidence fully restored. Some improvements are urgently required from Steve and the squad in the next few matches before the fans unrest snowballs and our manager finds himself under increasing pressure.

Can we turn this round against a resurgent Wolves at Molyneux next Saturday? Wolves now find themselves knocking at the play-off places, fresh from another away win on Saturday;this time against Preston.

Its difficult to see how we can get much from this game based on current form, other than to hope and pray for a result. A win there though ,repeating last season's result would be just the tonic we need at the moment!
