Sinclair set to leave Turf Moor

Frank Sinclair looks set to sign an initial loan deal with Huddersfield with a view to signing a long term deal in the summer.

Steve Cotterill said about our former captain:

'Quite probably Frank will be leaving today. He is hopefully this morning going to sign for Huddersfield.

'It's only emergency loans that kick in now, so he would have to go on loan until the end of the season. I think there is another incentive in there for Frank for a second year.

'There is an opportunity for him now to extend his career beyond this season. I had a good chat with Frank yesterday and he'll be calling me later on to say how things have gone on. Hopefully it will all go through for him. '

We will miss you Frank should you go and thanks for the effort you put in whilst a Claret!

I heard strong rumours he would have gone last Summer, but that was either unfounded or the Club changed their mind. He has been a good workhorse for us and we will miss him but its not a surprise for me and explains some of the thinking behind bringing in Steve Caldwell. This also supports the strategy in the three-year plan to reduce the average age of the team.
