The Rumour Mill- Kyle Lafferty

Burnley striker Kyle Lafferty, who was the subject of a failed 500,000 bid from Celtic last month, wants a move to the Premiership rather than Scotland. (According to the Daily Record)

I wonder how they managed to tease that obvious fact out of our lad. What footballer would not want to play in the Premiership and what footballer would see the top league in Scotland as a better option?

The Northern Ireland International is also believed to be the subject of interest from Manchester City. The club is reported to be keeping an eye on the situation with a view to possibly making a bid in the Summer.

If this gossip is true which it probably isnt, then we shall have to see if the 6 million put on the value of Kyle by manager Steve Cotterill comes anywhere near a selling price in practice.

It looks like the pressures on Kyle Lafferty are going to increase this year as he continues to make an impression for both the Clarets and Northern Ireland. Lets hope the lad, still only 19 can cope with the media attention without it affecting his game.

This is more of a negative story about Celtic than any real interest the Daily Record has in Burnley or one of their players. As you say it doesn't take agenius to work this fact out about any player so why is it even a story ? Because its a negative story thats why.
